When words keep getting in the way
Just mix a few here on my own
Like spellcheck on my telephone
Creativity and sass
A unique way to help time pass
When late at night and you can’t sleep
Another word for saying peep
Silly or sweet or just plain clever
A lot of fun to fit together
I lie in bed, sometimes late at night
Writing the words that must be rhymed
The ones that stir, stuck in my head
Feeding the thought that must be fed
Until I glance up, at the clock ⏰
And mutter in disbelieve and shock ….Watthe!

Thoughts on Vocal and the way the world is
"Death cannot stop true love, only delay it." – Wesley in The Princess Bride. I decided to come back to Vocal on a very cold and dark night at the end of December. I had been, and still am, convalescing from a horrible staph infection that had gone misdiagnosed for months. This, paired with the increasing challenges of being healthy, making the best choices for my co-parented child, being a wife, and being a director at a new job, was a lot to manage.
