They say a dying man prays for solace. I only pray that I find him in time. Everything is crimson and out of focus. It’s like trying to see through a mud splattered windshield, with the wipers smearing dirt across the entire surface. Grasping onto a rail, the cold metal bites into my skin, I don’t feel the freezing burn, only an emptiness inside. Grabbing a handkerchief, I wipe blood from my face and my sight clears enough for me to get my bearings. I try to tune out the madness surrounding me and focus, I need to find my son.
