The Wisdom Of Nature

A Story

Introduction

I saw this picture shared by The Enchanted Booklet and thought it deserved a story. Obviously, this is an illustration of an original story, but this is my take on what I see in the picture.

The Wisdom Of Nature

He didn't know what to do. He wanted to build a shelter, but respected the trees too much to take their wood and bark without asking, so he came to the tree.

The tree respected that he had asked, and said that, sometimes, branches die and drop from the trees, and these could be used to burn and keep him warm.

While these branches were dead, and the trees no longer needed them, the man could use them to build a home, and that would clear the dead branches from the ground where the tree was.

The man thanked the tree and began gathering up branches and leaves to take them to his meadow, where he would begin to build his future.

He respected nature and turn, nature respected him.

The image is facinating. There is a real challenge to Micros and this one is thought provoking on so many levels.

That's how it was supposed to be. Take it's resources, but we just crossed limits, and started exploiting.
