April overslept. She was guilty of enjoying the night of her life. In an uncharacteristic move, she hit one of the Quad Cities' notorious hot spots and enjoyed a girl's night. Like most girl's nights, it doesn't take long for a guy to be involved in the story.

April was a reporter, and she was chasing the story of a lifetime. What she didn't count on was the dashing Lt. Flagg to smile from the end of the bar. Worse yet, it would take her nine months to learn he wasn't human. She soon had a new story.
