It ain't Baywatch.
The uniforms are the same but Melmsford Swimming Pool is very different to Malibu. When I started training, I envisioned fishing out gorgeous babes full of gratitude and silicon. The truth is I'm more likely to be fishing out a plaster from someone's gullet because of a rogue wave from the adjacent lane and an ill-timed intake of breath.
But today was cool. Old bird. Floating, face down. Scary!
Dived in! I was awesome!
She wasn't happy. I started dragging her. She bloody hit me! She was looking for her locker key.
I didn't know, did I?

Hilarious!! Very engaging short read with a great final beat
Hahaha.....This was a brilliant though short read!
haha! Oh god... this brought back many memories. I HATED lifeguarding so much. You would not believe what disgusting things people would leave behind in the pool and locker rooms. Ugh! Great story though!
Help, I actually thought it was a bird 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahah! This gave me a good laugh!! Great work Rachel!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 looking for her key, hilarious! I was a little confused about the plaster though. Great job🤗
Baha... This could easily be a scene from Benidorm or just about any domestic or foreign British holiday lol. Well done, chum. Another excellent slice of life.
English swimming pools seem to be dangerous places for lifeguards rather than for the folk having fun in the water. So funny!
Such a sweet and funny Drabble, Rachel!
I, obviously, have to "lifeguard" for my kids. My daughter does this to me far to often.
Once more, you have shown that you can build a complete world on the head of a pin!
