In a futuristic world, a rapidly spreading disease known as Idiopathic Adolescent Acute Neurodegeneration (IAAN) kills over 90 percent of all teenagers and kids in the United States. The remaining people gained amazing abilities. These humans with superpowers are being held in prisons around the nation.

These children are divided into the following groups:

• Green: Have extra intelligence
• Red: Can control fire
• Blue: Telekinesis
• Yellow: Can manipulate electricity

Ruby was standing in the orange category, which means she has the special power to get into people’s minds. After 6 years, she escaped from jail with the help of a children's league. She got a panic button (a danger tracker) from a camp worker. She becomes suspicious of the league. Ruby makes escapes with children of other groups (green, yellow, blue) to "East River," a rumored safe haven.

Ruby requests her group to meet her parents in Salem, Virginia. When she sees them through the glass door, she gets to know that they have forgotten her. She meets Liam, who consoles her, but she fears her superpowers might harm him. Clancy Gray teaches Ruby how to harness her powers, and in return, she teaches him how to wipe people's memories.

Clancy is found to be using his powers to dominate the Government, and wants to utilize his new memory-erasing abilities to persuade Ruby to his side. Liam departs with all the Haven children, but Ruby fights Clancy and wants to escape with Chubs. Chubs got injured, giving Ruby little alternative except to use her panic button.

The league helps to take Chubs to the hospital, and Zu got permission to go with a protective family. Ruby persuades Cate to free Liam in exchange for taking his position in the league. Liam departs the camp, while Ruby begins her training with other powerful youngsters. Clancy starts to inspect the US Army and government troops.

Everything That I Love About Characters and Their Roles

Ruby Daly is my favorite character, and I am really inspired by Amandla Stenberg who played this promising role. The way she gets into people’s minds and inserts thoughts as per her choices is very amazing. Patrick Gibson did a great job with the character of Clancy Grey, who uses his powers to get control of the Government. Mandy Moore acted as “Cate”, who is a worker at the Children’s league, and provides Ruby with a panic button that can be used as a danger tracker.

Miya Cech worked as Suzume "Zu" who is a mute little girl and owns electricity manipulation powers. Chubs stand in the “green” category of children, who have increased intelligence levels and get injured while making an escape with Ruby. His role was carried out by Skylan Brooks. Bradley Whitford did a fair job with the role of “Liam Stewart”. His and Ruby's on-screen chemistry is very interesting and fantastic.
