The Black Kaleidoscope (Origins)
Never Look

This is a conclusion to the story here but can be read as a stand-alone piece:
The Black Kaleidoscope (Origins)
The Sisterhood of Witches had destroyed the Black Kaleidoscope but kept a little of it to track down its creator whose name had been given to them as part of the freedom pact that they agreed with the imprisoned Demon. The dark wizard was called "Toymaker" and his penchant was to create haunted toys to steal the souls of those who came into contact, which were usually children.
The Demon had departed to its home Hell and would probably trouble this world no more.
The Sisterhood's tracking spell pointed to a shop in a run-down part of the city. They came to the street prepared and armed, they did not know what they would find, or what threats they would be subjected to.
They were outside the shop and it was dark apart from flickering candles. The door was ajar so they went in, and were immediately hit by a debilitating cold, but they were prepared for this.
The shelves in the shop were home to many black toys, but none of these contained demons but were possibly intended receptacles.
They didn't notice at first but the rooms in the shop seemed to be getting smaller, contracting to stop the witches from leaving.
They immediately cast a protective ring spell to keep them safe from whatever was threatening them, and it soon became clear that the dark wizard and this dank shop were the same, the witches were in the wizard's body.
A voice boomed out
"I have you now, you are mine!!"
The witches attacked the building, which became more and more like flesh, where the flames hit the smell of burning pork emanated.
"The souls are mine, I will have them all, I will have more Demons"
The witches were quiet, they knew this evil must me destroyed and though they were being drained the fire was taking hold.
The dark wizard screamed and it burned, the shop and its contents were burning, and the sisterhood left still protected by their ring spell. They looked back and saw the evil place and its contents reduced to ash.
"There may be still dark toys out there, but the dark wizard is now gone and our world is a safer place now, but we must always be vigilant"
