Guardians of Il'ray
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Within the curves of the hills, forest and rivers, the Ygg people lived quietly, safeguarded from the chaos erupting outside of the high cliff walls. Who would have thought that something so simple as a rock, or so I had thought, would bring such chaos into the place I had called home my whole life – my whole world turned topsy turvy.

Bolt
There weren't always dragons in the valley. In fact, when we moved to the sleepy little town of Bonnydale there didn't seem to be a whole lot of anything. I was sixteen and accustomed to the fast pace of city life, so when we lost my dad and had to move in with my grandparents, it was quite the blow to my teenage existence. The hustle and bustle of my former life was suddenly diminished to a place where the most exciting thing to do was go pick up groceries at the general store. I was miserable. It was all so unfair and I made sure that everyone around me knew it. Little did I know that this quiet nothing town would become the setting for the greatest adventure of my life.

Dragons of The Valley
“There weren't always dragons in the Valley. In fact before the great treaty of Dagalman such creatures would be murdered on sight, were they to breach a single inch into our land. No violators were spared, not even those seeking refuge from their own tyrannous leader.``

The Awakening of the Winged Ones
There weren't always dragons in the valley. Yet here we are, a fortnight into this unusual, unprecedented resurrection. We've been told countless tales of the dragons and their destructive ways. These tales were handed down for generations from our elders. Old, withered up family members who cackle as witches, while we listen and squirm as small children. We're forced to listen to their scary tales and yarns they spin about the infamous, dubious dragon species.

I Almost Lived My Life
One of the corrections officer’s comes to grab me from my cell to take me to the visitor’s lounge to see my mom and my 2 year-old daughter, Eva. My release date is just in a few days so we’ll need to discuss the arrangements of them picking me up. He puts the handcuffs on and we make our way to the visitors lounge. As we’re walking away from my cell I realize how accustomed I’ve becomed to all the nasty smells of the prison and begin to imagine what the outside world will be like again. To walk into a clean bedroom with the bed made and a scented candle lit. Thirty months of prison food changes you. I’ve spent every night of the last several months imagining myself eating pizza or a juicy steak. We arrive at the visitors lounge where I already see my mother and daughter waiting at one of the tables. The officer takes the handcuffs off and I walk up to their table to hug them immediately. Regardless of what we’ve been through, I appreciate her getting me a lawyer that reduced six months off my sentence.

The Ballad Of Vallony Vignacious
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Always had monsters of course, but none strong enough to be a proper tyrant. Back in the old days, the Valley was overrun by idiotic heroes blundering after petty monsters. Guess who was worse. The local monster causing mischief? Nope. Worse was the parade of shiny smiles and swords who sojourned to our Valley just looking for trouble; who fretted constantly over their "hero image" but never showed a jot of concern about property-damage.
