Chapter Five: Here We Go Again
We drive into a small city just a few klicks outside of the main city where our ship was at. Huh, that’s weird to think. The sky has grown dark by the time we get there and Darryl suggests we stay here for the night. We go to find a hotel to stay in, finding it hard because of the festival going on.

The Algum Tree
A deafening ring punctured the inner depths of my subconscious. I initially mistook it for screams. The universe unfolded as I awoke. Beads of sweat descended my forehead and fell into my eyes. I closed them. The ringing was overtaken by a loud, consistent bang, as if large chains were falling in sequence. We were moving fast. It was dark, the only visible light came through a small hole near the top of the train car.

Runaway Train
image Jasper Montague blinked. Then he blinked again, this time rapidly and repeatedly. It didn’t change a thing. He still couldn’t quite fathom his surroundings. He looked around for his friends and saw all three sprawled on the floor, unconscious.

Bagged 1
I felt rumbling deep within my chest. Rushes of train wheels turning against metal flowed in and out of my ears. Something heavy hit the floor jolting me out of my sleep. I tried to move, but I was trapped somewhere. I started hitting the walls around me; they were thin and soft. Swallowing back my panic, I felt around the seams slowly, finding the back of a zipper. I clawed the zipper until it was open enough that I could see out of the corner. It was dark. I slowly unzipped the rest of the zipper and crawled out. Why the hell was I in a suitcase? Something clanged a few feet ahead of me. I sat up straight and looked around. Another massive suitcase had fallen over. Wait… where am I? I slowly stood up, trying to steady my feet. Am I moving? I blinked a few times trying to adjust my eyes to the darkness. There was sunlight flashing through the cracks in the room. I reached for my pocket to get out my phone to use as a flashlight. I felt my other pockets for my phone. Shit.

The Villains We Desperately Needed
Someone was breathing on my face. The realization of this unsettling thought jerked me awake with a start. The peaceful face of a boy, the spitting image of mine, swam into my vision. He had a shaggy mop of hair the color of silver, the ends of it almost completely covering his peacefully closed eyes. But even closed I knew the color of them. It was the same as mine - ocean blue.

The Night Train to Boise
“I wonder if it’s snowing in Boise,” Jenny murmured quietly to herself as the train passed by a line of snow topped trees. She shifted the bag in her lap. Partly because her leg was asleep, and partly to check and make sure it was still there.
