Whispering Death (part 11)
Running through the field with a lantern, Drina led the way for three of men from the seance to follow behind her. She was no fighter and who knew what they would face once they got to the building. The small flickering light grew the closer they got to the distillery. Over her shoulder, she yelled back to the men.

Just Let Me Die Here (A Serialized Novel) 37
Officer Evans drives me to Canmore General Hospital. The same hospital I visited this morning trying to find out why this all happened. Now I’m even more lost than before. Now everything has changed. It looks different this time. No longer a peaceful place for recovery set against a beautiful mountain backdrop. The sky is a dark gray, heavy with winter rain, and it casts a murkiness over the building. The bricks look worn and dirty. It feels like a looming presence as we enter the parking lot. Something lurking and sinister. I can’t stop my body from shaking. My teeth are chattering so loudly, I am certain Evans can hear it. He doesn’t comment though.

Radio Silence - Part 13
It took Joe two full days to realize what was wrong. It wasn’t the fact that Melanie had abandoned him. It wasn’t that the whole country seemed devoid of life besides him. It wasn’t that he was alone, and had started to talk to himself for company. It was the silence. There was no music, no radio to keep him company. Radio had been a staple for so long in his life. It was his job, every day, but it kept him company outside of work. He listened to it while driving everywhere, and even listened to it on his phone when he was walking.

Juniors, They're Minty Fresh
When it comes to Critical Race Theory at first it may be difficult to have much to say. Insofar as I can tell, I do not utterly disagree with it, that is to say if I understand the concept of CRT in the first place. It does not affect me one way or the other, being as how it is purely a phrase I have heard on the radio at this point. I am not nor will I ever attempt to be an historian; I have no plans for blogging/publishing anything extensive of an historical nature. Assuming that the central idea behind CRT has to do with admitting that white America's societal foundations are built upon discriminatory practices, I will not argue that point.
