Chapter 11 Carter's breaths become shallow the moments following his initial exam, as a result the nurse takes him into the NICU for further testing. West is finally brought back to see Larissa. While he sits anxiously holding her hand, he silently prays for her and Carter. As the minutes continue to pass and nurse after nurse come in to check Larissa's vitals, West sits replaying their last year and a half over in his head.

CHAPTER 5 The following day West gets up early and heads into the office. Checking on his little project that he's had his staff working on while they were out of town. Pleased with the progress so far on the office he's had prepared for Larissa, he calls her to see if she's woken up. After not getting an answer he decides to go up and check on her.

CHAPTER 10 Over the next month and a half Larissa goes back to work at Utopia. September 2nd was Larissa's birthday, unable to talk her into staying home West showers her with gifts at the office. Before lunch he has a huge bouquet of pink roses delivered and that afternoon chocolate covered strawberries and balloons arrive.

CHAPTER 7 At the hospital West waits pacing back and forth for almost two hours with very little news. Joe and Rita, along with Meghan all sit nervously waiting on news of how Larissa and the baby are. Larissa was in and out of consciousness on the ride into the hospital. Meghan has sent Brian a text and also called to leave him a voicemail, knowing that he will be looking for them after the game. After what feels like forever the doctor comes out into the waiting room.
