Prisoner
Eshi sat quietly in the muted lantern light, using chalk to draw fanciful images on the floor. Memories of things she used to know. Were they real? Or just dreams? She would need to ask for more chalk soon. She was all out of blue and pink, her two favorites. Well, she also really liked yellow. And purple. And green was very nice.

Raenair Trilogy: Book One
The wind whipped past my face so fast that it stung my plump cheeks. My eyes watered and my chest shook with fear as I gazed out towards the country line of our kingdom. My big hazel eyes were blown wide as I watched the silhouettes of dragons and big men draw nearer. The tiny knuckles that dug into my mother's cloak were as pale as her face. My mother, eyes of gold and hair like russet silk, gawked at my father like a beautiful fish. She clung to my body for life, keeping me pinned to her bosom. My father stood proud and strong, facing the intruders, worry lines creasing in his firm expression. I was too small to have any powers yet, still just a child, however, that didn't hinder me from feeling the static pop and cackle in the air as father readied himself to protect his kingdom.

Old Flame Part III
The last time I was at a park on the swings was about two years ago in my hometown. Nathan and I had been together several months and went there after homecoming before the big house party he threw. It was a time where I thought he hung the moon. The autumn air had a small breeze, making it a little chilly. Nathan had given me his jacket to wear since I didn't bring mine. I hadn't expected to stop at the dark, vacant park.

Diary of a Single Woman
1-13-22 Dear Diary, It has been a crazy start to the new year. I was hopeful. Ok, that’s a lie. I wasn’t. Though I didn’t mention it in my last entry, I do not like when people say to me, “this year is going to be great.” To me it implies some higher power has control over how the year will be. Quite frankly, I believe we are in charge of whether we are going to have a great year or not. The year will throw challenges at you and when it does, you need to decide exactly how you are going to overcome them. Your decisions and choices will always have a consequence which will be in your favor sometimes and in other times it won’t. In the end, the outcome of your year is mainly up to how you deal with the tribulations of life.

Lake of Souls Chapter 21
Previous Chapter A year had passed since that first actual kiss with Filon. We had managed to convince the people of the life kingdom to let us stay in the castle. They were more than happy to have us, especially now that the land was flourishing. There were still issues that arose in the kingdoms but most of them were minor. The god didn't visit me once during that year though I thought I could see him in the occasional shadow. Life had become normal for Filon and I and we couldn't have been happier.

Lenobelle
Chapter One First of all, I was severely out of shape. I ran only a couple of feet and my lungs were already howling in an angry protest. Secondly, my pursuer was, in fact, hella fit. Seriously, this guy jumped out of a moving car and just took off after me. Now, logically, there was no reason for me to run, considering I had no Earthly clue as to why this man was even chasing me down. However, he was large and powerful looking, that alone was enough to give me a spook and send me running to the hills. I wheezed, huffed and panted as my feet made heavy thuds under the ground beneath me.
