As though my fate was sealed since the moment I stepped through the large Mirror, I nearly slipped on a loose pebble. The slip not only caused a startling movement from me as I tried to regain balance as quickly as possible, but it created the smallest of skittering sounds as the pebble flew forward and dinged against the others.

Everything looked at me.

All those dragons, their scales rippled in unison. They gazed at me with their unblinking and relentless slits of eyes. They all began to take a step closer to me, and they probably would have eaten me alive if it was not for their guardians. I watched as, due to their restriction, their nostrils flared, breathing in my scent. I winced, knowing it stunk of gasoline and manufacturing equipment, as this was my Work. Their stances immediately shifted to show they were even more menacing towards me, threatening me.

Obviously, it made sense. It was not because my scent was atrocious, no. It was because these Dragons must have had Ancestors who originated in the Purple Dimension. My Ancestors went to the Purple Dimension at one point during the Hurricane and murdered many of their kind. Many unique species of dragons were wiped out. But maybe they should thank us. Now, they are capable of breeding more with human qualities because of the necessity the Hurricane created.

But, we all know that will never happen. Dragons are known for holding grudges.

When those neon-furred tabbies heard me, I watched their ears flicker as they tried to find where the sound emanated from. They glanced at me, their eyes holding no pupil. They were pure neon. Bright and glowing, greens and oranges and blues, all depending on the cat's fur. Greens with blues, oranges with greens, and blues with oranges.

When She noticed I was drifting into the exploration of the vast array of species around me, her grip on my wrist tightened. I gasped a little at the shock factor and she glared at me. She tugged me down the (somewhat) perfectly patterned pebble with a peculiar and pronounced red tone road.

Soon enough, we entered an area where there were no animals or creatures or individuals in sight. She walked towards what looked to be a shack, but I could not read the name. It was in another vernacular. How peculiar. The Orange Dimension does not have their own vernacular--

Sped up, we entered the shack and turned an immediate left. To this left was a long desk. I looked around and noticed that each wall held a door, one of which was open. I took a peak and saw that there was an exasperatingly long hallway. Was this a shack after all?

I looked back to the lady behind the marble counter. Her hair was a light pink. She held one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen an individual hold. On the edges of her brilliantly emerald eyes were black wings. From what I could see of her figure, she looked to be petite. On her right arm was a drawing -- I believe other Dimensions call them "tattoos." This tattoo was of three butterflies, their wings like gemstones, shiny and bright blue. The tattoo complimented her delicate pale complexion ... maybe a little too pale. It seemed to be more of a grayish-pale tone. Is she alrigh--

"Get him. Now," The woman who captured me demanded of the petite lady. The lady questioned Her about where She found me, why I was here, and who necessarily "him" was because I guess neither of us had a clue. She rolled her eyes at the lady and began to ding the bell that was on the counter. "He needs to see this and you know goddamn-well whom I am talking about. This is an emergency."

The pink-haired lady nodded in submission, slowly taking the bell away from Her. She cleared her throat a single time with a small squeak and dinged the bell lightly. After it rang, I heard heavy footsteps begin to pound on the other side of the door in front of me. I began to grow nervous. When I saw who "He" was, I was shocked.

You know... you think you see everything. Cats with no pupils. Elemental dragons. Hawks with talons trimmed. Owls with brilliantly colored wings...

To be completely fair, the sight I saw caused me to faint.

What I saw was a large rabbit, nearly nine feet tall, including the ears. This rabbit was standing on its hind legs as though it were a human! Its paws had black gloves with a gray circle in the center of both palms. On the top of the gloves was a small drawing of a cartoon-like face -- one was a smile, the other was a frown. These gloves were cut off at the fingers, exposing human fingers and nails. These nails were long and definitely sharp.

Codominance, as We call it, took place with his fur's shades, for it was both a neutral and subtle green and gray. His stomach was white with a slightly-darker gray outline. On its arms and forehead were neon green tattoos. The arm's tattoo was a rectangle over a line that wrapped around the entire arm above another line that was half the size. On its forehead, the tattoo was heart-shaped. However, the lines were straight -- very geometrical.

When he entered, he was holding on of his ears down and rubbing the center core. His ears flicked at every sound that seemed to emanate from any source. Its ears were very long and gray, the tufts the same green as its primary fur. His "muzzle" was a slightly lighter gray than his primary fur. His eyes were a hue of cyan, just like the lights around Our Science Centers. Underneath his eyes were arcs of bright white.

But I fainted nonetheless.

When I woke up, I heard a voice speak.

"Oh, look! Has he awakened from slumber ? Oh, how lovely. How beautiful! Yes, Angel?" It was a male voice. A... strange male voice. It had fluctuations, various ups-and-downs, somewhat sing-song.

"Quiet down, Declan," She sounded quiet and distant. "And don't call me Angel. You know that is not my name. It is far from the truth."

"Oh! My dearest," The male voice replied. "It is quite true! Your voice is mistaken for Aphrodite's! Ah, the most beautiful of the White Dimension. In all Dimensions. Such euphony! Such harmony."

"Shut up, Declan," She hissed. This Declan was laughing. So strange. The laughter was deep.

I finally opened my eyes, and, as I opened them, I noticed the pink-haired lady staring at me. But she was... upside-down … and above me. My eyes widened. She giggled with a smile. I tried to hide further into my chair. Two vampiric teeth.

Oh, Alphas -- May they forever reign --, I knew I was going to die here.

The human-hare I saw earlier did not bounce when he walked. Only thumped. Very loud thumps. It was so abnormal to anything We had seen! But so fascinating. Yet another Undiscovered.

"Good afternoon, Sleepy-head!" She giggled brightly. I tried to lean further yet it was impossible. She scrambled down to my feet and pushed the chair between the gap. This forcefully made me sit upright. I squeezed my eyes shut. Normally chairs did not go that fast. My stomach definitely did not like the change of scenery.

"Oh... poor thing," A new voice spoke. "He ain't used to this type of living... is he?" She asked. There was a small silence, and, even though my eyes were still shut, it felt... wrong.

The silence felt wrong.
