A.$.P. Armoured Series: The Infinity
Part 1 Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say, an explorer says as he grabs a round purple gem embedded in an asteroid. He studies it a little and tells his crew eh look at this. Have y’all ever seen something like this. No man I seen purple gems but that’s the size of bowling a ball one of the explorer says right and it’s heavy another says. Ground control we found a purple gem the size of a bowling ball embedded into the asteroid. We are sealing it in an H-Box. Okay explorer, you and the rest of the team set up charges and get off that asteroid. The team sets up chargers and get into their pods as they move away from the asteroid. The charges are detonated. The explorers return back to LETSA (Late Explorer treasure salvaging Association) and the one in charge is the general lasso and he is giving orders. Take that to room G and add a little more safety and security when studying it. They take it to room G and they use a scan card to open the door and the door slides open. While studying, one of the scientists says it has a frequency that’s giving off. We’ve never heard this frequency before or felt that it’s not of this world. Well, we did find it in space, so what would you suggest? The general asks. I would suggest putting it back and never touching it or we could analyze it under x-ray. Then put it under X-ray and get some more information from it. The scientist puts it in the x-ray machine and once it’s turned on, the radiation from the machine cracks the gem and it starts to expand. Everyone rushes and hides behind the barrier and then the gem explodes. Pieces and debris go everywhere and through the smoke a beautiful goddess begins to appear. She looks around the room as she stands there ragged clothes with gem fragments circling her. One of the explorers that found the gem walks over and offers her a jacket and pants. She turns to him and levitates him in the air. He is not phased one bit as he is mesmerized by her beauty. You are the one that found me on that asteroid. Why aren’t you scared, she asks in a reverb voice. I was, but if you wanted to hurt me you would have. She levitates him closer and kisses him on the cheek. She puts him down and says go over there. She takes what she was given and alters it so magically as there is a golden glow while she does. She turns it into a metallic charcoal glittery dress with gold and white trim. She then walked over to the young man who offered her the clothes and she asked him where his loyalties lie. He said I have no loyalties, I just work here. Will you be loyal to me, she asks. I will, as he bows to her, she takes his hand and helps him power up and unleash his abilities. What is your name. She asked her loyal subject. The name is Brett and what might I call you? He asks. She looks and grins and stretches. You can call me The Infinity. They walk out of the room and start leaving the building when soldiers yelll hold do not move put your hands behind your back and surrender. Oh Loyal servant she says cheerfully remember those abilities that I gave you it’s time to use them. But I don’t know what abilities I have. Well we are going to find out we. Yes we are he says.

Baby Boy Floating In Outer Space.
***** Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. I have been cleverly bundled inside layers of soft and squishy sheets. The sheets are folded in an immaculate pattern giving it a swirly look. The pattern has been surreptitiously designed to evoke empathy in the eyes of potential predators.

The Dread Pirate Redbeard
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Then again, the shackled captain thought, as he scanned the room, people’s last thoughts were seldom heard. The courtroom stood bare. Walls the cold grey steel only found in Federalé ships. If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound? The judge was a brick of a man. The jury, not a single one would he call a peer. If the airlock I be damned, the airlock I be damned.

The Samhain Chronicles: Ch. 10
Danny's palms began to sweat as he stood before the mystery woman, his eyes darting back and forth between her and Penelope struggling in her grip. "I don't know who you are," Penelope grunted, "and I don't care! Daniel is not going with you, and that's-" Her eyes widened as she trailed off abruptly with a choking gasp. The woman's arm had pressed tighter to her throat, cutting off her defiant chirps.

Chapter 1
Maybe, they are cries for help. All the jokes I make about killing myself. I guess, if I pay attention, others react awkwardly to my morbid humor, but no one has ever inquired about my mental health or state. Can warning signs be subconscious? Suicide is not a joke. My head understands, but the words keep bubbling up my throat and out of my mouth. For heaven's sake, I have even known people who struggle with depression, and others who have followed through with their plans of leaving this world.

Lying in Wait [re-sub]
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Sound needs a medium on which to travel; perhaps this quirky little detail about space served a purpose. Human progress throughout history has often been met by those who chastise us for “playing god” for attempting to wield the laws of nature. In 1996 we received this “noble badge” when we began to dip our tones into cloning. In 2003 we decided the title suited us and upped the ante by attempting to bring the Pyrenean Ibex back from extinction by inserting its DNA into a surrogate mother. In 2021 in an attempt to rid the world of Malaria, we bioengineered mosquitoes at the celular level in order to make them incapable not only of contracting the disease but of passing it genetically to their offspring, essentially culling out the issue in a generation or two. As our scientific progress grew, so too did the chants and warning about “playing god” with nature. But it seems there was one boundary we were never meant to cross; a law of nature which assured the very safety of all life in the universe - and this law stated that sound cannot travel through the vacuum of space….

End of the Beginning
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Yet, that is if you were a carbon based life-form. For those that would have to rely upon the vibrations of mass like particles that would act as a fluid such as a liquid or gas, space would be a deafening occurrence to them. No matter how beautiful the cosmos looked when it was full of nebulas within galaxies upon galactic filaments, sound was deafened within the void that was space.

Dying Light: Civilizations
After the sun died, the people that survived initially panicked. They started hoarding resources into their homes, not even bothering to share with those nearby. It wasn't until necessities had dwindled down to where hoarding would no longer be possible that people began to try and evenly distribute among themselves. The first colony to establish itself was called Beacon. It grew rapidly around one of the few power plants that still operated. Shoddy huts and tents made from tarps and blankets were hastily built next to the facility to allow people to waste as little electricity as possible during their fights for survival.
