District 111
The air near District 111 is thinner so it was crucial to bring a few extra tanks of oxygen, although it made a large dent in Prosperity's supplies budget. "The dent was necessary," Frank said before we all departed from the rooftop hanger. Frank said a lot of things before the war, or so I was told. Afterward... he chose his words carefully and stoically. He had a right not to talk if he didn't want to divulge, after all, he was there during The Fall. October 14th, 2089 was the exact date and year the bees disappeared.

Zen
Imagine a world where amputation, transplants, and eventually even cancer could be totally fixed or cured. Experiment Zen was intended to help teach cells to transfigure into different types of cells that could then be used as part of surgeries and other procedures to then produce cures to major diseases. However, Experiment Zen was never meant to learn how to breach outside of the program walls. For young five-year-old Kate Cruz, it went much further than that. Her parents were two of the lead scientists conducting the experiment, but Zen, while bordering success, was one of the biggest scientific failures ever known. With no warning, the scientists put up a losing battle with forces beyond their control. Once Zen had been completely programmed, it was activated and placed under intense surveillance. The night before the observation was the last time Kate ever saw her parents alive. All that she had left to remember them by was a heart-shaped pendant that her father had given her mother to celebrate their new creation. Now, twenty years later, the world is very different from the things we learn in our history books.

Sunshine
“What... the... Hell... happened?”, Jeanine thought, as she stared blankly off into the abyss of what was once her hometown. She stood amongst the rubble of her childhood home; now just a scattering of debris. Snapping out of her trance-like state, Jeanine realized she was standing where her bedroom had once been. Tears streamed down her dust covered cheeks, leaving winding lines of white in their wake.

Now or Never
Dear diary, I will try t o keep this brief, yet there's so much that has happened. The trees are withered, they skies are grey and there isn't any sign of human life. What was a comfortable evening on the couch turned into a complete nightmare. I remember I had just hang up with my mother. She was so elated that her garden was sprouting. She couldn't slow down quick enough to allow me time to process everything she was saying. Something about she can't wait to clear land and grow more vegetables.
