The Ghost in the Mirror
In the quaint town of Eldermoor, nestled between rolling hills and ancient woods, stood a dilapidated mansion known as Holloway House. It had a reputation for being haunted, with tales of ghostly apparitions and eerie sounds that echoed through its empty halls. Wedding Night
I loved her. I couldn't help it. I was desperate that night. It reduced me to becoming a voyeur. Just a little peek. She was beautiful as a bride and I desired her intensely as always. When I saw them leave the reception, I followed. After this, I vowed, I would stop and put her behind me.

Watched. Content Warning.
You know that feeling when someone is watching you? I've got that right now. I'm trying to ignore it but I'm feeling it. It's like a spider crawling over your skin, its legs barely touching you but you feel its trace anyway and wonder, Is it a hair?, hoping, only to discover another creature has violated your space. You quickly flick it off, relieved, but you shudder nonetheless.

Burst
"I don't love you anymore." They were sat in a beer garden. Around them, the raucous laughter of summer-saturated groups, dressed in pastels and wearing sunglasses, like a golden advert for glorious life. Small children raced past, dodging through adults like they were pixies in a forest of tall trees, taking no care and screaming the wild screams of the unmoderated. Someone had a bubble gun and small rainbow-veiled spheres glided by, wobbling slightly as the light summer breeze propelled them.

Hope for Humanity. Content Warning.
The infantryman stumbled to his feet in the thick smoke and the noise and the horror of the battle. He struggled, his boots trying to find the ground; what had once been flat and accessible suddenly lumpen, pustulated and oozing with the heavy casualties of war. He was alive but barely. As shells whizzed and exploded and the earth lifted, clumps flying, he tried to focus. God, he wanted to live! Where were the others? He was reeling, disoriented, gulping air which was acrid and foul. He stifled the terror and despair that threatened to conquer him and willed himself to seek survival.
