Freedom?
Every morning I wake and it's the same old thing. Every morning I wake and I want to be there. Not here. Not here. Every morning life takes a crap on me again. All my dreams are of that place. The place where she is and where they are. Where it all went right and wrong at such a quick pace, but it's the only place I want to be, trying to fix what I broke.

The Day of Return. Top Story - January 2024. Content Warning.
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. His name had been Oleg, a man from a different time and a different place with his name preserved on a gilded scrap of paper calling him a Bachelor of Arts, evidently something to be vaunted in the old world. He had lived in this place once upon a time, though that time was long past.

Jumping Timelines
An online user shared this narrative. I was driving along the PCH, a very long highway up the coast of California, at precisely 8:15 PM when I heard a car horn blaring. I turned around and saw a car coming straight towards my car and myself. Suddenly, I'm sitting on the ground, very confused, and a headache is starting to come on. It's been about a week, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the possibility that I might have died in another timeline and just jumped to this one background. Though I was not hit, my car was not hit, and I was still breathing heavily, so I was obviously freaked out. I got back up and checked my phone to see if I had called my mom because this was crazy, but there was no history of me doing so. I tried to calm myself down and decided to head home right away, thinking that perhaps this was a premonition of something I didn't want to relive. When I got home, my mom asked me why I had called and then hung up. Is it just me, or am I jumping across timelines? There are millions of stories that are similar to this one; this can't be a coincidence, can it?
