The New Echo
Loneliness creaks worse than his bones. He sighs into the darkness. An empty depression beside him and inside him. Sixty years married! That's a lot of memories. Eventually, they'd be a balm, a gentle cup to sip from. Warm, golden, like honey left in the sun, or a smooth liquor.

132 Irritation. Content Warning.
Pearls are from irritation. Ask any oyster. Or when any guest outlasted their welcome. And I'm irritated. The irony is that while I use this concentric-layered aragonite and calcite to sequester my irritation, it just happens to be on the end of a pistol. Dr Psycho. Content Warning.
Some say I've got a God complex. That I'm narcissistic. I am better than a lot of other people. Egotistical, maybe, but true. I'm the best in my field. Things that bother other people don't bother me. Blood for instance. OK, not many surgeons mind that, so not the best example.
