Love
Picture Perfect
I finally got the last customer out of the door, and the overwhelming weight of my smile fell down the second she turned her back. I rolled my eyes so forcefully I wouldn’t be surprised if a vein exploded in my head. It's 23 minutes past closing time, which is 6 hours and 23 minutes longer than I wanted to be here. All because, this old woman, just had to get her ugly little chihuahua in for a rabies shot. She treats that dog like her own kid, having it hang out in her little useless purse like a Disney villain. It practically screams “I have no husband or kids to go home to.” I'm lonely too, you don't see me basically making out with my dog though now do you?

Beside the Bride
Have you ever wondered what the underside of a table looks like? Not a cheap folding table that folds out every Christmas for your cousin’s four kids and your younger brother who couldn’t fit at the adult table. I’m talking about the underside of a real table. A table with four triangles of wood connecting the legs to the top. One with thick support beams crisscrossing between the corners that didn’t get the glossy finish of the topside, each roughly sanded with sharp points sticking out here and there. A pinch of pain serges through my pointer finger. Great! Because who doesn’t love a splinter.

Like Bears in a Cave
You don't have to do anything, you know. Caves are for bears, but it seems really romantic to live in one with someone else. Things might get tense with all that sleeping on the ground and difficulty with food, but it would just take getting used to.

After I turn off the faucet, wipe my hands dry and open the bathroom door. I will put on my viel, be presented with some old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Then I will be given away to the love of my life who might wake up ten years from now and roll over and look at someone they don’t love anymore. And he stopped loving me about seven years into the marriage but now he’s just decided to stay because it gives him some —----- BANG! BANG!

Lovers by the Lake Part Five
Paul struggled to get up. He gave Amy a playful slap on her backside before helping her clean the dishes. “That was an excellent meal, Amy. I don’t think I have ever enjoyed trout so much in my entire life. So, you really want to hear more about my younger years? I know you are one hundred percent correct about the death of JFK making a big impact on everyone. I am really sort of amused about your prom experience. You really were raised strictly. I know for sure if we were in the same school, I would never have gone out with you back then. So it is strange we ended up together,” Paul stated.

Lovers by the Lake Part four
Chapter Four Paul’s question stopped Amy in her tracks. She jerked upright and stared off into the distance. Only the sounds of the forest and a gentle breeze rustling through the trees disturbed the silence. Slowly Amy turned to look Paul in the eyes.
