My Oscar for Life
Imagine the possibility of a return to a moment in time that defined you as a person. To change a memory, or a reaction, or a decision that changed your life forever? Perhaps when you were a child or a teenager or perhaps, even last year? Five years ago? I, myself, wonder if we all have these thoughts and question how different our world would be if we could. They make movies about how our souls or hearts, or minds might feel complete by going back in time and righting a wrong or finding the one true love of our youth. When we think on it, we are bound to contemplate how we might have made an impact on the world or in another personโs life if we could skip over the breadth of time and recover such a moment. This is a story about how I did just that. And the ripple effect I never saw coming.

Shadow of the Sanctuary
I feel myself running endlessly through the streets, a dark shadow sprawling around me in the moonlight. I fall, hitting the ground hard as the shadow descends above me. I roll to my back throwing my arms over me as the creature bares its talons toward my face.

A Girl Named Ashley
The white crescent moon in the unreachable distance fell over the mountains, inches at a time, as if scared to touch them. The blackness that hugged the planet, and the stars that flashed golden ever so slightly, faded as the night said it's goodbyes. The darkness lifted a bit, a faint ray of the shy sun peaked it's way through the scattered clouds in the east. All the nocturnal critters were heading to their beds to get cozy, readying for tomorrow. The noise that cloaked the darkness seemed to cautiously quiet down, until there was nearly silence that was entrapped in the earth.

Sabrina
โItโs late, Mario, let me goโ. She threw herself out of the car, fumbled with the lock, for a moment the light illuminated the entrance hall. She wore a shirt that was a little big on her. He was impressed with the image of his thin shoulders disappearing into the door.

The Last Time I Wore Pink. Top Story - January 2022.
It all started with that awful pink shirt. Phoebe was my roommate, she was always so full of light, and life. No matter what kind of day it was she could always summon a smile that could burn a whole through sunshine.

Return of the Night Owl
Daylight turned quickly to darkness as my mood turned in the same direction. I sit here alone feeling the cold envelope my body like a shroud. The storm that has raged for 3 days has frozen the outside world in a glistening mass of ice. I look at the pond and contemplate its very existence in this wasteland
