Love
Oceans & Electricity
The ambulance sirens rang in the distance, and I prayed to God that he would live. His body was stiff as life poured into a puddle, collecting scarlet. That baby blue shirt captures what a gorgeous clear sky it is and perfect for futball. Instead, it may be the day he dies a foot away from where I stand.

Mom and Blaqe looked at each other, and quickly changed the subject. No one really talks about what happened that night. It makes Smooth really angry, especially since Russell, is not in jail or dead. Blaque still lived at home with mom, even though, Blaque would spend the night from time to time. Just as Blaque and Smooth were finishing up studying, and her mom was on her way to pick Blaque up, Smooth said, Blaque, when been together for going on two years. I love you very much. you never left me, even though, it was rough, in the beginning. I just wanted to thank you very much. love you too said, Blaque. I'm a woman of my word, plus, you are the strongest man I know, said Blaque. See what I mean, you love me unconditionally, I appreciate that love, and I never want to loose that love. I want to protect it, take care of it, marry it, said Smooth. Clevon Jones, did you just ask me to marry you? asked Blaque, yeah baby, I did. I have a ring. My uncle C.J. is holding on to it for me, it used to belong to my grandmother. I gotta ask Mom, said Blaque. Baby, you will be an adult soon, then you wont need your moms permission. Instead of asking her, just tell her that you and I are engaged. Mom will give her blessing, watch, said Smooth. You are right, said Blaque. Mom, knows that I'm in love with you, I can't really see her making a big deal about it, said Blaque. So,whtas your answer my queen. The answer is yes my king! I will marry you, twenty times over, said Blaque. Blaque knew her mom, really loved Smooth, and considered him part of their family already. But for some reason, Blaque decided to wait a while to tell her mom, that her and Smooth were engaged. Smooth, was so excited he called for his uncle C.J. to come into the room and share the good news. Uncle, she said yes man, shouted Smooth. Congratulations nephew. I knew she would say yes, plus, I heard her say yes already, you know these walls are thin, said C.J. I'm sure you are going to need this, and handed Smooth a blue velvet ring box. Go with God son. said C.J. yes sir said Smooth. Can you be my best man? I don't have any friends, I could ask , said Smooth. I would be honored, said C.J. But I do have a serious subject to talk to you about. okay, said Smooth. What are we going to do about Russell. You know hes either got to be in jail, or dead, said C.J. I've been thinking about that for the past year, said Smooth. I've been practicing with Blaque, shooting her moms thirty -two. I'd rather us be safe than sorry. said Smooth.

Mountains of Gold
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. An annoyed grunt broke the silence which hung over them, and Liè Fèng found himself unconsciously tightening the bindings wrapped around his callused fists. To his side, the young monk spared him a brief glance and an enigmatic smile, before returning his attention to placing one foot before the other in endless repetition. The noonday sun glinted brightly off his companion’s shaved head.

Sea of Dragons
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. Legend has it there was a time when these giant creatures did not roam the skies of Mexicannia terrorizing people; a time where President Nick and his minions ruled freely with an iron fist and renegades were nowhere to be found. A time where men dictated the rules and women -silent and obedient- complied. A time of so-called peace when money was abundant, commerce flowed, population grew and Mexicannia seemed to be synonymous with success.
