The Gift Shop
I don’t know why I am like this. Today, at work – I work at ‘The Shack: Gifts and Apparel’ in Anchorage - I was arranging a new display in the window. Teddy, our taxidermy beaver, was getting a fresh fair isle sweater and matching beanie that I finished knitting just last night to wear when a man entered the store.

Memories of Kerry, Chapter Two
Wow, underpants sure came in bright colours these days! I stood and gawped, dumb with envy as the three boys stripped out of their clothes and splashed about in the fountain. Bright green, and bright blue...! And all my underwear was white, I thought jealously. How I longed for a dark-blue pair like the third boy's, I'd feel so grown-up.

Memories of Kerry, Chapter One
Of all the people to bump into at the corner-shop! I'd only gone there because I was furious and needed to calm down. Still, a cheeky smile from Kerry would have cheered anyone up. She was wearing her hair in bunches, and her turquoise top had a hole in it through which you could see her pink bra. Of course, I couldn't help fidgeting over this. Meanwhile, though the first thing she remarked upon was how my choice of clothing hadn't changed!

Into the Phantom Zone
I was still fuming at my girlfriend later that night when I was alone in my room. Eventually though my boy-hormones began to simmer down, and I started to think instead of the new girl. It was a bit more comfortable doing so in my smelly sleeping-pants than it had been in regular underwear, so I stood weakly with my eyes shut and sighed hard, just letting it happen.

Supergirl and the New Girl
"I know I'm not supposed to," I began to my girlfriend, a little breathy and anxious, while carrying her books to the library for her. "But, um, it would be such a help if I could every now and then. Just so I'd be less flustered in gym and maybe get a bit better at it, I mean."
