Dragon Valley
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. But there was always dragon eggs. Sometimes a human could stumble across an egg, so big and bright, heat radiating off its surface. Sometimes, the egg would be cold to the touch, meaing that the egg lost its heat and there as no helping the baby inside.

WAR OF THE SEVEN HILLS
The Gathering There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Yet something afoul and sinister is moving beyond the jungle brush. They are being followed. Whatever it may be, remains hidden in the darkness, yet there is an odor in the air, unlike any he has ever sensed before, drifting faintly past his nose. With a torch in hand, he strays away from his party to further investigate. Staring into the darkness, he was sensing a presence, but nothing more can he detect. Two of his companions walk up behind him, standing with their spears at the ready. After a few moments, he slowly turns and rejoins the group of warriors on their somber journey to the meeting place. As the men moved further down the trail, a pair of glowing red eyes appear in the area that the young warrior was staring at with such intensity.

First Lady of Emerald
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. Perhaps it was more accurate to say, there weren’t usually dragons in the valley. Usually, they stayed in the mountains; flew screaming across the valleys and staged aerial battles with each other. They taught their pups to fly between the high ranges that allowed plenty of landing spaces on the surrounding crags. They were creatures of sky, mountain and distance, but today, there was actually a dragon in the valley.

The Dragons of Verde Valley
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. That all changed in 2052. I was just finishing up my junior year at Mingus Union High School in Cottonwood, Arizona in the heart of the Verde Valley. I was going nowhere. I suppose it was partially due to my dad leaving when I was 10. I had a long record of getting into trouble.

Bokvaettr anKaleth - Bestiary of Edwyna
Nôttsidhe, or the Night Wraiths, are a different story altogether. They’re much rarer. Nôttsidhe are wraiths in the form of young women that haunt the wilds with eerie screams. At first notice, however, it might sound as though a young girl is weeping deep in the woods. Once approached, they grab hold of their victim and, through their eyes, show visions of death. Their mouths hang unnaturally open with empty eye sockets. They will scream at an impossibly high pitch, driving whomever towards insanity with the visions shown and the sound of their screams. As seen further along in the passage, Nôttsidhe are not altogether entirely evil beings.

Merlin's Dragon Slayers
Merlin’s Dragon Slayers Prologue By Cleve Taylor “There weren’t always dragons in the Valley.” “Well, we can be sure that there is at least one here now. Take a look at this scat,” George said as he dragged a stick through an obviously fresh splat of scat that was the size of a stainless-steel garbage can lid. There is no cow nor anything else around here big enough to do this.”

The Midknight
The Army marched forth over the hill, an unstoppable wall of steel and bone, led by their commander, a young man full of hope, courage and potential. They were only a few weeks from the front when they reached a small ruin, and they stopped to investigate. After some considerable searching, the commander had found what appeared to be a blade of masterful make and material; it was made of a dark crystal filled with the stars of the midnight sky, thousands of clusters of luminescence, and the blade spoke to him. It spoke words of war, and of wisdom. It claimed to be named Blood-Drinker, and that it was the greatest weapon any mortal eyes had seen.
