WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE DIE? REALLY? —--ISLAM VERSION. Our souls leave our bodies when we pass away and embark on a journey. The Janazah (the funeral) and the body lying there on the ground wrapped up and ready to be buried are witnessed by the soul as it descends into the grave to be reunited with our body. As you descend and see this and hear this, you feel it. When your body is taken and placed in the grave, your soul eventually descends there to be reunited with your body, and then your family and friends who were present at your Janazah will begin dumping dirt into the grave, picking it up with their hands, and throwing it on top of you. You will feel the dirt fall on top of you as they do this, and you will be there in the grave completely covered up but still conscious.
