What happens after we die...
What really happens to us after death? I mean, to us, to our souls... what happens after we are buried?

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE DIE? REALLY? —--ISLAM VERSION.
Our souls leave our bodies when we pass away and embark on a journey. The Janazah (the funeral) and the body lying there on the ground wrapped up and ready to be buried are witnessed by the soul as it descends into the grave to be reunited with our body. As you descend and see this and hear this, you feel it. When your body is taken and placed in the grave, your soul eventually descends there to be reunited with your body, and then your family and friends who were present at your Janazah will begin dumping dirt into the grave, picking it up with their hands, and throwing it on top of you. You will feel the dirt fall on top of you as they do this, and you will be there in the grave completely covered up but still conscious.
Even if it won't be physically apparent, your soul will still feel alive. As the prophet PBUH (peace and blessings be upon him) predicted, you will hear their footsteps. He said that once they go, you will hear their footsteps and be left in the grave by yourself. You will continue to be alone and quiet. Monkar and Nikir, two angels, now approach you. Three questions—possibly the most significant questions you have ever been asked—will be posed to you.
The inquiries are:
A. What is your deen?
B. What prophet do you follow?
C. Who is your lord, then?
If you correctly respond to these questions, your time in the dead will be peaceful and enjoyable until the day of judgment, when the horn blows and you are exhumed from your grave.
However, your time in the hereafter will be painful if you don't provide accurate answers to all three of these questions. The issue is that many of us think, at this point, I'm good because I'm a Muslim, I know the answers to these questions, and I'll give them the right answers. But many academics contend that the heart, not the mind or the tongue, should be used to determine the solution. To pass the test of three questions from Allah with five joyful tidings, we must endeavor to be real Muslims. To pass the test, we must work to be sincere Muslims.
Jannah will supply the burial site. These are all things that Rasulullah taught us about Islam, and they are supported by reliable hadith. The individual shall be covered in the garments of Jannah. The Jannah grave gate will be opened for the person at it; the air from it will reach him; he will smell its fragrance and experience the joy of the port; and the grave will be made spacious as far as the eye can perceive. The barza (life of the grave) is entirely distinct from this existence. He will receive the happy news of Allah's pleasure, and Allah will make the grave extremely roomy. A man with a lovely face, lovely clothing, and a pleasing scent appears. Who are you, the person in the grave will ask: "You look so good, you smell so lovely, and your face is so beautiful.”
In response, the person will say: "I am your goodness. I am that salad you prayed for. I am that sabakat you gave. I am the Quran you read and memorized. I am the fasting. I am the struggle. I am the two raqqa you prayed in the middle of the night. I am all the great a man—a man with a good face. I will be our companion until the day of judgment to do. We will be questioned about everything."
