Heir to the Phoenix Clan
My family has always seemed strange to me. As I grew up, I could get the sense that there was something being hidden from me. Not necessarily anything bad, just a secret that I didn’t seem to understand. Another strange thing is that everyone seemed to be born on one of two days. Everyone older than me had June 21st as their birthday, while myself and everyone younger than me had December 21st as their birthday. As I got older, I saw more and more of my cousins born on my birthday and just saw it as normal until I was in school. Apparently my family is the only one that this phenomenon happens to.

The Price of Colors
I’m always the first one up, but by the time I get home from my morning run and training, I can hear Yuabrin and Aethel moving around upstairs. I can also smell coffee, so I head straight to the kitchen to pour myself a cup. I linger in the kitchen as I drink my first cup, wondering if Yuabrin’s going to make breakfast. He’s still learning how to cook, but he’s mastered bacon and eggs the way I like them, at least.

The Forgotten Symphony
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the city. In the heart of the metropolis stood an old theater, its grandeur faded with time. The marquee displayed the words "The Forgotten Symphony" in worn-out letters, barely catching the attention of passersby.
