Adventure
Outside Of My Constricted View
Introduction Normality. That word is foreign, abnormal to me. Yes, that’s extremely ironic. I see people going to work, caring for their children, eating at restaurants. I mean, nothing is stopping me from doing that, but it feels wrong. If I can’t do those things, then will I just end up being alone for the rest of my life? Maybe I’m just spouting nonsense, but I can’t truly embrace normal because I’m not “normal” myself. That's what this world taught me to believe. However, my Brother, Ren, looked at the world a little differently.

The Beckoning
A voice beckons her. She wasn’t sure she heard the voice at first because she was too engrossed in her own thoughts. Despite listening carefully, she cannot make out who it is coming from, therefore, gaining her full attention. Shifting in her seat, she looks around to see if the people in the Cafe, or the people on the street, can hear the voice—they don’t. The voice seems to be coming down from somewhere near the ocean. Before she has time to register her actions, the girl stands up—the Cafe and her toast long forgotten—and begins walking down the cobblestone pathway towards the ocean.

Karakai
Sweat coalesced on my body so much so, I felt like I had just fallen into a river and then went straight back to running. The air was thick and all this huffing made it feel like I was breathing water. As I sprinted through the rainforest, I masked my scent by grabbing chunks of mud, rubbing it all over myself. I took some leaves and stuck them on the bits of mud that were on me, hoping that it would all stick. None of that stopped the Enforcers from tracking me. Blood from a knife wound oozed out of my leg and I could feel the warm liquid flow down my leg as trekked the jungle at a frantic pace, leaving clues of my whereabouts. It was the dead of night too. Everything was pitch black except for the places where the moonlight shone and the silhouettes of the lights that the Enforcers lit behind me.

A Love That Traveled But Never Died
Swinging saloon doors opened wide. A man walked in and peers around the room. He shot a few whistles at brothel girls sitting on men’s laps. Can-can girls were dancing for money up on the bars as well as maiden wenches shadowing dark figures in the brightly lit windows. Smoke filled the air as menfolk sat, puffing on their cigars. There in the background sounded loud honky-tonk playing broken notes. Drunken fellows were rowdy while betting to win an intense hand at poker. A few momentarily paused and nodded at the cowboy directing their way.

The Mortal Tartarus
"RUN MALAKAI!!!" Yelled Samuel as he led the way. "DON'T LOOK BACK!!!" However the young lad had already made that foolish mistake. The boy glanced over his shoulder to see nothing but horror chasing after him. Three monstrosities, all sporting the same ghastly features. Big burly frames, all running on four legs with horns sprouting out the top of their heads and backs of their legs. Their constant barking and chomping exposed their long and jagged yellow teeth, which just like their black fur, was stained with the blood of their previous victims.
