Adventure
Messengers
It was a beautiful day the sun was shining with not a cloud in sight. I was getting ready to go away on a mini adventure. We arrived at our destination the scenery was breathtakingly beautiful. The ocean looked liked a shimmering silver blanket, the waves gently lapping to the shore.

Neoteny
From the southern shore of the Lago de Xochimilco, my eyes followed the other brightly-painted trajineras as they gently glided away from the docks across the black water. The late October air was cold and still, but the soft distant sounds of music and families celebrating warmed the occasion. I stood at the back of the line of tourists, finishing off a cigarette before we too disembarked from the shore.

Desert Stars
The flames from the fire shyly reached up towards the stars in the sky, flickering away before any contact could be made. The stars always caught Misae's eyes; there were so many. Moving out to the developing planet of Topho had broadened the young mail carrier's horizons, beyond the smoggy skies on Earth, to a clear, unpolluted glance into a spacious black ocean sprinkled with blue flecks of glittering luminescence.

“And I’ll have a Bloody Mary jug too, thanks.” Demi gulps the spicy elixir, trying to lose thought altogether. Sucking on the celery swizzle stick, her stomach, still tickled with gurgling stirring emotion, is refusing her breakfast special. Moving onto the next bar on this inner-city funfair row, is just logical.

Shark Tale
Daylight trickled in over John’s face, gently prying open his eyes. He kind of wished the window had a roller shade to block out all the light; but today, being woken up didn’t bother him, because he couldn’t wait to get up. The exhilaration of being on vacation almost made him jump out of bed.
