Reminiscence Chalim was old, but his eyes were much older. Each wrinkle in his valleyed face held a story. experienced much at the end of the third age and the beginning of the fourth. He recently gave up his partisan spear, a loyal guard to the King for nearly eighty-eight years now. His ability with a weapon was no longer a measure of significance but then again, he hadn’t ever been much of a soldier as much as he was living history, he was one of the only remaining heroes left to tell the tale.

Dragon's Blood
There weren’t always Dragons in the Valley. Aunor Gilje quickly thought of that fact as he looked up into the heavens and could not remove the smell of charred and burned flesh from his very nostrils. He fought the urge to wretch as he turned himself over onto his side and tried in vain to quell the thrumming behind his eyes. What has become of my home? What is going on? What of the others that I was just with? The thoughts plagued Aunor’s mind as he forced himself onto trembling and weak legs. If the sensation of heat that seemed to come from all directions around him was not answer enough, a quick glance gave the young man all the answers that he had been searching for.

Quest of A Reluctant Adventurer
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Yet, to his surprise, there were at least five spotted in a week. This wasn't the most strange thing that Crispin had come across in months. Far from it if he was going to be honest. But, it was still something to be surprised about. And he wasn't entirely sure to whom he needed to tell about it. Or if it was something to be worried about. Yes, there were more dragons than he'd ever seen in his lifetime. Some of which looked as if they were nearly full grown.

The Hunted
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. Dragons had been extinct for years, and although there used to be dragons roaming the land, the land had been void of them for so long. There weren't always dragons in the valley, until one cold winters day started to change the world as we know it.

The Valley of the Dragons
The Valley of the Dragons “There weren't always dragons in the Valley. But of course, you know that don't you. That is to say, obviously, there have been dragons in the valley since the dawn of time but that’s hardly the same thing, is it? Anyway, what’s important now is that you are here… now, quite silly of you to have been here next week, you would think a candidate of your qualifications would not make such a clumsy error but we won’t hold that against you. You brought your bonafides with you I am sure, may I see them?”

The Awakening
When does that day come when you wake up and look in the mirror to see a stranger looking back at you? That day when what you once saw yourself as, is no longer looking back at you in the mirror? Does it creep up on your gradually or is it one day you wake up and see a stranger looking back at you? For me, I guess, it was a gradual process, without me really catching the signs. That is, until that day I looked into my partners face in the wee morning hours before he awoke to think to myself, "When did he start to age". It was not even a month ago he looked as young as the day we met, or was it longer? What has taken over the face of the love of my life? It was then when I realized, oh my, I wonder how many mornings he watched on while I slept and wondered the exact same thing.

The Miners: Part 2
Even still, Henry's comment rankled him. Not because he was thinking about stealing; although, he certainly considered himself capable of doing just that if he wanted to. No, the fact that it was being used this way was almost more upsetting than Henry's comment. It felt like cheating.
