Adventure
Chorus Day
-Magic. It was pure magic.- Six-year old Mia could not believe her eyes. Her parents had told her that the long drive would be worth it. She hadn’t believed it of course. She thought it would be like the time they went to the Zoo. They had done SO much walking- her feet had HURT, it had been loud and smelly, and the tigers, with their sharp teeth, had scared her. But THIS… this was different.

To Know of the Moon
Personally, I have never seen the ocean. I was born in one of these enclosures, it was smaller and darker and dozens of my siblings were there. But some of the older folks in my current home have seen it! The new arrivals of the other species are also sometimes from the sea, but not me. Ironic right? It’s even in the name: seahorse, sea-horse. Even so, from what they tell me I wouldn’t say I have a bad life.

The Age of Aquarium
The grounds seemed much more crowded than usual. No matter. This meeting was of the urgent variety and if I had to temporarily accelerate my speed to maneuver through these people, it would be worth it. I’ll just have to pay the price later. It’s still taking me a while to get used to the brief healing period after drawing on these new powers. I made a mental note to add that to the list of questions already swimming in mind.

Manta Ray
Manta Rays are my favorite animals. Gargantuan in size they can grow to have a nearly 30-foot wingspan! It's safe to say I'm obsessed with them. I was over the moon excited when I heard the local aquarium rescued one from a fishing boat mishap. The only aquarium in the United States that's even capable of housing such a behemoth. I had to see it in person.

The School Field Trip
Little One woke in a flash, their eyes snapping open with instant recall. Today was the day of the school field trip! They'd been waiting for so long to see these dangerous animals up close. There was no better way than through the safety glass at the aquarium.

THE AQUARIUM FIELD TRIP
Right on the dot of 10 A.M., the three school buses parked in front of the Dallas World Aquarium. Wiggling and giggling in their seats, the second graders eagerly waited to exit their bus. By 10:15 A.M., approximately forty-five students and three teachers formed a long line stretching and snaking the full length of the block in front of the building.

Ashley's Aquarium
A new bar had just opened up in town. Everyone was talking about it. It was in an old bar, that everyone used to go too, back in the day. It had a smoko area in the front, with railings and a cage-like frontier for the upper half, often labelled as, "the Zoo," because they thought most of the smokers acted like zoo animals.
