System human failure
Don't just do something, stand there
By Rhys DaviesPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read
Staring into space through bridge window Claire could fooled herself into believing they were still, but the angry red lights on her terminal, the silent debris hurtling past, and her own hyperventilating would not be ignored. 'Captain, please, I know what to do sir.' She pleaded again.
'We'll try whatever it is next. We have time.' He responded without looking around. Without physical access to the controls she couldn't implement her command to slow them down. Instead the pilots blocked her way, lost track of time, and Claire closed her eyes as the ship burnt up in the atmosphere.
