"Uuh, that bass is good."

"For real. Straight to the heart. Damn it, I feel alive again! Didn't even know how much I needed this. Good plan. God's plan."

"I've seen God!"

"Aren't you an atheist Ron?"

"Atheist, shmaetheist. Whatever. God was in that bush!"

"What bush Ron?"

"The burning one!"

"Ok, how much acid did you take Ron?"

"Just a bit, see some more colours. Life's so colourful, you know? We never really look at the colours! We are blind to beauty, blinded by rush, by stress, by all of life's ills! Our souls are being destructed, but we can be free! Free to live an extraordinary life! Show me your limits and I'll show you how to go beyond them! We are all in this together, all one!"

"Too much. Definitely too much."

"So what are the commandments, Ron?"

"Do you really want to go there Lisa?"

"Kind of, yes. I want to hear Ron's grandest delusions."

"Well, do what you must. I'll be off dancing. Those beats are drawing me in. You're coming with Amy?"

"Mmmh, I'm not sure. Dancing sounds good but I'm kind of curious about those commandments. We have all night to dance."

"Oh, god damn it all right. Ron, will you share our commandments?"

"Ron. RON! We're here. So, what did the bush give you?"

"Oooooh, you have come to learn! Learn about the wisdom the burning bush has in store for all of us! The time has finally arrived, the moment we've all been waiting for! -"

"Ok, I admit this could be fun."

"- The first commandment: You shall not isolate yourself! Come together, my my. Love is all you need! With a little help from my friend, I can do it all! Across the whole universe, people unite. We are to be together!"

"I can roll with that. No isolation. Check. We shall, Ron. What's next?"

"The second! You shall look each other in the eyes!"

"Well that's a strange commandment. I mean, ok. I guess we can."

"You must! This is God's plan. Look deeply into each other's eyes and find yourself in each other! When you drown in one another's eyes, all worry subsides. The boundaries between me and you vanish. Come together."

"I hear you Ron."

"You do Amy?"

"Sure. Have you never looked anyone in the eyes for minutes on end? Time disappears. It changes you."

"Ok, you have at least one follower for your second commandment Ron. Go on."

"Oh, you seekers shall hear! Listen, listen! 'You shall not become numb! Resist the forces of egotism, apathy and melancholy! You live now. Yesterday and tomorrow are mere ideas. Don't let that precious soul of yours die!"

"Ok. No investment banking, no endless wallowing in the past. I get it. I'm not so prone to that anyways, but, Lisa, open your ears."

"Me? You think I run the risk of losing my soul in high finance?"

"Not exactly. But you're prone to apathy, you've got some nihilistic tendencies."

"Ok, I thought this was just going to be hilarious. I'm not down for that psych talk now. I'll go dance. The bass sounds too good anyways, I can hardly contain myself."

"People, do not leave yet! I have not come to an end!"

"Ron, you know what? Just scream the rest of the commandments out of your lungs at the dance floor, ok? Let the world know. They must all hear it, otherwise your message's reach is limited."

"A grandiose idea Amy! I shall have everyone partake in this wisdom! People, I'm bringing you twelve commandments! Listen up, it is time! Come together, come together. We must be together, so the message can spread!"

"He has a point, you know? About the coming together, I mean."

This was an entertaining and surprisingly thoughtful read. The dialogue feels alive and chaotic in the best way.
