Sky Saw
The End Comes ... or Does It

It was after one in the morning.
Sky was walking home from his girlfriends, a little worse for wear due to drink and weed.
As he walked he saw an odd sight, the derelict disused church was lit up with candles on the inside. He wondered if he was hallucinating after what he had had at his girlfriends, but he decided to go and take a look. His curiosity was piqued.
He pushed through the rusted iron gate and walked up the overgrown path to the church door. When he got there there was a hole where the handle had been and what was left of the brass handle was on the floor. As he pushed the door he felt it was going to disingate, riddled with dry rot or some such debilitating disease.
He walked into the church.
This is what Sky Saw:
It was empty apart from the candles, and the priest at the altar.
The priest was intoning a chant which made Sky think of Lord Summerisle for some reason.
His words were clear and frightening.
"The Lord Is Coming
He Will Cleave The Heavens With His Sky Saw
Before Cutting The Earth Like The Rotten Fruit It Has Become
The End Of Days Is Here
Repentance Is Not Acceptable
Death Is The Only Acceptable Payment
The Lord Is Coming"
Sky had seen and heard enough and turned to the door as the priest continued repeating his lines over and over.
Those words were scary, they even scared Sky, one of the reasons he was leaving now.
If there had been a congregation they would have believed the words the priest said, Sky ironically thanks god he was an atheist.
He was shaken and looked up to the sky half expecting to see God's Sky Saw, but up in the sky were the moon and the stars, they were something he could believe in and that was all that Sky saw.
