Shattered

An Observational Drabble

A Nightcafe Creation By The Author

The reflection was like when light breaks water; the shattered fragments were from the glass table destroyed by a vandal's hammer blow, strewn all over the floor, with sharp shards that would cut anyone who tried to pick them up and clear away the debris.

The glass table was destroyed and could never be repaired; it was now in a thousand separate pieces, glinting like broken diamonds on the floor. The destruction still held a strange beauty for all that saw it.

Now it was gone, no use to anybody, it was just a dangerous mess that needed sweeping away.
