Puppy Love
A drabble on love through the eyes of a dog-for the season of love

This was for MikeyDred's February prompt.

He handed her a stinking bunch of wilted leaves. She let out a squeal instead of chewing it. Odd. Then, he slipped a teeny hoop on her paw--er--finger. She gasped, like when I fake-limped for treats. Was this a trick? A bribe?
Then--right in front of me--they kissed. Without shame. I howled. "Hello. Third wheel here?" They chortled. Unbelievable!
Afterwards, she called him "the love of my life." Pardon me? I've licked her tears, defended her from the fire-breathing stove, and never judged her terrible art. He gives her a shiny snack and suddenly, he wins? Traitorous. Simply traitorous.

My dogs understood. My cats didn't care. 🤷⚡
Haha, love the puppy's perspective! So much sass and drama in those puppy eyes. The jealousy over the "shiny snack" is so real—classic third-wheel moment!
So stinking cute. Gotta love dogs
Hmmm a great perspective
Very cute… & an outrageous situation for A Woman’s Best Friend!😳🙃
So funny! Your dog's indignation was great! Does this mean congratulations are in order too or is this just fiction?
Beautiful story! ✨
Hahahahahahahaha this was hilarious and adorable!
