Judgement of Solomon

A modern-time micro

By Lana V LynxPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read
Solomon making his judgement on the child

Two Gen-Z women gave birth at the same hospital, each to a baby boy. One of the babies died and his mother claimed that the other woman stole her baby with the doctors’ help. She sued them all and they went to court.

The judge, an old wise man, thought the situation was too similar to a famous biblical tale and decided to test the women the same way.

“I’m gonna need a sword,” he said, hoping that the liar would confess. Neither woman flinched so the judge ordered a recess to find a sword.

After the recess, the judge took a sword and ordered to bring in the baby.

“The court resolves to split the baby and give each woman a half,” the judge said dramatically, holding the sword to the baby’s chest.

“With all due respect, Your Honor, this is f*cked up!” the first woman cried out. “I came here to get a DNA test ordered and you wanna kill my baby in front of me?”

“Yeah, I’m gonna record this and post it on my Insta,” the second woman said. “Even if I weren’t the real baby’s mother, what would I do with a bloody half-baby?”

The judge said, “No DNA test needed,” and gave the baby to his real mother.

Was it the first or the second woman?

First woman has to be the real mother here, especially since a DNA test would solve the matter. No true parent would be thinking about posting anything on Instagram at such a moment - though many in today's society, unfortunately, do. Social media exposure and greed factor into things all too often these days, surpassing the real crux of need and importance.

I mean, I am presuming the first woman, but I feel like this is a trick!

Dharshee is right the first woman is the mom she is wanting a dna test

So... why didn't he just do the DNA test? 🤔

  • The first one. The second one immediately went to "Insta" which made my body hurt with how putting this online was more important than the life of the child. Not to mention how quickly they took themselves "out" of the role of "Mother" like it didn't mean anything. I think what hurts more is that I could "see" this play out in today's world, not literally because that judge would actually get in so much trouble haha, but just "if" it could play out I could see these words being said exactly as you put them!

The court sometimes have no logic. It's so true, why was the judge trying to save money not getting DNA test. The sword must cost an arm and a leg. Excellent story telling as always. 💕

I definitely think the first woman is most likely the baby's true mother. Love this concept, Lana! 💌

I would say the first but neither of the reactions are what I would call expected! But first!

  • Obviously the first one. She seems confident enough to do a DNA test
