"How Are Your Roaches?"
TGIF, another Russian humor Drabble for your fun

In the Soviet Union, people had limited ways to get rid of roaches in their homes. The most common insecticide, Dichlophos (a Russian version of the Dichlorvos), was scarce, diluted, toxic for humans and ineffective. Fighting roaches was a never-ending losing battle. Until the late 1990s, when the notorious Chinese Deltramethrin-containing chalk became available. But even that was a hit or miss as roaches adapted to it. Here's a famous joke from that time:
Two neighbors talking on the staircase landing.
"So, how are your roaches?"
"I've bought THE chalk."
"And?"
"They are no longer running around! Sitting quietly, drawing."

Those are the kind of roaches we don't want to multiply, Lana. lol
Too funny! 🤣
They give me the creepy crawlies, and I like (most) bugs. I can do without crickets, mosquitos and of course the stupid house fly, lol. I don't know how roaches do it, but they do build up resistance relatively quick! Nice Drabble!
Cockroaches are my biggest fear! I'm even afraid of the dead ones, lol. Loved your story!
Ha! Brilliant! I’d love to see some of those cockroaches sketching too!
Haha! Didn’t see that wordplay coming! Fantastic Drabble, Lana!
Ha ha. My only advice is if you want to kill a roach don’t step on it.
Excellent! The new artists of Russia! Made me laugh!
