Intoduction

This is for Lana V Lynx's "Immortality, Granted!" Challenge, which you can check out here:

These are the opening lines:

"But I have been granted immortality!" Putin protested.

"A Ukrainian drone blew you to pieces! You're still immortal, but here in Hell now!"

Now we continue...

Everyone Is Immortal

"But if I am in hell, I can't be immortal, immortals don't die and go to Hell."

"Ah, but thanks to Tim Berners-Lee's World Wide Web and things like YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, everybody has immortality up there. People are still watching you and following you. They don't know you are here, except the ones who saw you blown up and had to clear up your mess"

"But I'm in Hell, I'm dead!!"

"How can you be dead if you are talking to us and screaming as we pull your fingernails out and slice off your face? What an idiot!!"

Now this is better than an actual horror story.

I like how you describe immortality and bring Tim Berners-Lee into focus. (He's an interesting guy.) People's pasts continue to affect others after death, and in some way, they live on forever. Nice, Mike.
