Lyla was awoken by a shadowy figure looming over her. As she sat up all too quickly, she connected foreheads with Serena, "Ow! What are you doing on top of me?" she demanded. Rubbing the now red spot above her brows she glanced over at her digital clock that sat on her nightstand, and quickly snapped her head back to Serena, "It's six in the morning! What are you doing on top of me at six in the morning?!" Her eyes shifted to the extra pairs of eyes peering into the room; the girls sitting against the way now reanimated to the sound of her arousal.

"Your guest down the hall is gone. I thought you'd like to know," she said smugly also rubbing her temple as she dismounted from Lyla and the bed.

"And, how do you know this and why does it matter," she asked in disbelief. Thoughts flying through her head about where and why he could have gone and if the girls were the reason for his disappearance so early in the morning.

"Well, we wanted to peek in there and make sure that he was still alone, but the door was cracked, and he was gone," she said quietly. With this, Lyla threw herself out of her bed and tramped down the hallway. She pushed the guest bedroom door open with such force that they were worried she had dented the wall. To her dismay she had found that Serena was telling her the truth, but what she had left out was that his belongings were still present.

"See, I told you she would be worried enough to check," came the whispers from one of the girls. Lyla could feel the warmth from her embarrassment rising through her body. She whipped around quickly, shoved her head down, and trudged back up the hall to her room. She slammed the door behind her, and the girls could hear the lock click from the other side.

"Maybe, and I mean maybe, we took that a little too far," said Carly as she rubbed the back of her neck. They all scattered towards their rooms all except Serena; she stayed at the door waiting to see if Lyla might sneak out of her room. After minutes had passed with nothing happening, Serena knocked on the door - it was very quiet, but loud enough for Lyla to be able to hear it.

"Lyla, we were only trying to give you a hard time out of fun," Serena professed solemnly. From the other side of the door Lyla was attempting to quell the embarrassment she had, and she opened the door to Serena then quickly shut it behind her. Once she was on the other side, they both stared at each other and proceeded to bust out in laughter. "Wait, so you're not mad," Lyla asked, relieved that they hadn't ruined the last week with Lyla before she came back for their next and final semester at Sweet Lake.

"I just can't believe that I rushed to his room! I barely know him, and you know what? I was upset for just a second until I threw back that door," Lyla said, still giggling at how foolish she had been moments before. They headed outside her room, and she called out to the other girls letting them know that she was okay and not at all upset. They came out one by one, then all headed down the stairs to the kitchen.

The girls made their breakfasts and sat around the table talking about their plans for the summer now that it had just begun. Serena was staying at the condo with Jessica so they could get alone time while everyone was gone, and they were going to do a lot of swimming at the campus of course. Ann was going on a cruise with her family to the Bahamas; they had one every year, and every year she got wasted with her parents. Carly was going home much like Lyla was, but she was going to work as a vet tech while at home to get more experience. Lyla had told them about her email from her mother and how she was now dreading going home.

As the girls continued discussing their summers and ate their food Alex walked through the door. No one had been paying attention, so he headed up the stairs. He had just returned from visiting his mother and going to the campus gym, which was open to family of faculty members. He went into his room and stripped all of his clothes off of his body and moved to the bathroom that was connected to the room. He hopped into the shower and began to clean the sweat and germs off himself from the gym, then he heard a faint knock at the door leading to the hallway.

"Alex, we're just checking that it's you," it was Carly.

"Yeah, it's me," he shouted out to the hall. After that the girls had dropped their guard since they knew who their intruder was upstairs. Carly went back down the stairs to continue her breakfast and chatting. Alex finished his shower, changed into a nicer outfit than what he came in with, and joined the girls at the table. "I hope I didn't scare you guys," he said, feeling sorry because he just remembered he was staying with a bunch of women.

The women had assured him that they were fine and to just announce his presence next time, then began to pester him with questions about the gym. He answered them just to appease the ladies but was not content that he had to answer them in the first place. He then made himself a breakfast to go along with the women and joined into their conversation about the summer - he was going back to Florida to do absolutely nothing, so he could recover for his next semester.

When everyone finished, they went off to do their own activities for the day. Ann and Carly both went to their jobs downtown and Jessica and Serena went up to Serena's room. Alex went with Lyla to find out what they would be doing for the day. Lyla asked if he wanted to go mini golfing since she had not done it in such a long time, he was obliged to her request. Now that they had decided on what they were going to do for the day Lyla had kicked Alex out of her room to get ready.

She decided to go with a cute summertime romper that showed off her tattoos, because she didn't get much time to show them off during school nor clinicals - wanting to be professional and all. When she rejoined Alex in the hallway, he was almost taken aback by her beauty. He had decided, on a whim, to reach for her hand and walk her down the stairs and was bold enough to even ask if he could drive them to the mini golf course, to which she agreed.

They got in the car and headed towards mini golf. The whole time Alex never took his hand off of Lyla's, and she felt warm everywhere. She didn't object to the hand holding and she sort of liked it - she sort of liked him, and she knew it.
