There was only one rule: “don’t open the door.”

Sheldon was walking past the famous “Blood Door” on his way home from work. “It sure is a cold October night” he thought to himself. “What I wouldn’t give for a warm cup of hot choco-” before Sheldon could finish his train of thought the “Blood Door” caught his attention from his peripheral vision.

“Well well, there’s the famous “Blood Door”. The infamous doorway that our parents told us not to play around when we were kids. I think I’m gonna give it a twist.” Sheldon walked up to the doorway and examined the door. “Let’s see what’s up with the big bad door” Sheldon chuckled. He put his hand on the knob and gave it a slow twist. The door opened to reveal what looked like an empty black room.

“See. I knew it would be nothing.” As Sheldon turned around to depart something grabbed him from behind before he could take one step. Sheldon was startled by a tight grip on his shoulders. He tried to yank away, but was suddenly bitten on his neck. “AHHHH!” Sheldon screamed as he muscled up enough strength to break the grip of what was biting him. He turned around and found a pale-faced male vampire smiling at him.

Sheldon fell to his knees holding his bloody neck in shock. “Now, my boy” the vampire started. “Become my comrade and go forth and find others like yourself who will help me do my bidding. The vampire then disappeared back into the shadowy house. As the door behind Sheldon closed he slowly rose to his feet. His neck wound no longer bled as much and he suddenly had a taste for blood and meat.

“Oh no” Sheldon thought. “I’m a vampire.”
