There was only one rule: don’t open the door.”
“Richie, NO!” Charles said sharply as he grabbed Richie’s arm. “Oh what are you on about? It’s just a door” Richie dismissed. “No, Richie! It’s not just a door” Charles protested. “Its the forbidden door.”
“Chuck, if the door was SOOOOOO forbidden I don’t think they would’ve put it out in the open where everybody could have easy access to it” Richie replied sarcastically. Richie then tried to reach for the door knob again, but was stopped by Charles who had again grabbed his hand. “Chuck, why don’t you lighten up, bruh?” Richie began irately. “What is so dangerous about me opening this door?” Charles then stared at Richie with a blank look in a brief silence. “Do you even know?” Richie asked.
“Look, do you remember Vic Echols?” Charles asked. After giving it a quick thought the name finally rang a bell in Richie’s mind. “Yeah” Richie began. “He was that little weirdo from Bell Heights that went missing about a year ago, what about him?”
“Richie the day after he went missing his friend Manny said he visited this door too” Charles added. “Seriously?” Richie asked. “Yes” Charles started. “I ain’t tryna end up on a milk carton, let’s book it Rich”. “Yeah you right, let’s roll” Richie added. As Charles and Richie walked away from the door Richie put his phone to his ear. “Yo I’ll meet you back at the crib Chuck, I got a phone call”. “Cool” Charles replied as he walked away.
As Charles departed Richie walked back to the door. “Can’t believe he fell for that, now let me open this door.” As Richie turned the knob he opened the door to a horrifying figure. “Oh no, please….NOOOOOOOO!!!” Richie’s screams echoed in the night…

Eeeek, creepy! Excellent entry.
Richie is so obdurate, now he’s had the fright of his life; So did I. This was very well written, I loved the high energy and casual language used, it really brought with it the spirit of a teen.
Scary!!😬
