Brief Intro
This is sort of influenced by the videos and songs above. Tesco invading Denmark is satire but is becoming closer to reality. This is what might happen in globalization reaches one possible conclusion and brands buy out governments and take over countries. Let's face it many politicians are owned by corporations and "brands".
Branded
I'm in jail
Why?
I will tell you
A few years back our government ceded power to the Corpora party, I say ceded power, the Corpora Party paid them off, then took over running the country and one of their first decrees was that there would be n more elections and they were a waste of the nation's resources and with things becoming scarcer saving had to be made wherever they could be made.
The thing is people seemed to be fine with this even though their rights and freedoms were being more curtailed every day.
Corpora wasn't really a political party, it was a corporate cartel intent on milking the country for everything it could take.
Independent and local companies were taxed out of existence and if that did not work then they were shut down by government order. People defended Corpora's actions because "they were legal" and attacked anyone who contested this by saying it was Corpora who created the "laws" that made these things legal. When Corpora came to power they changed things so that they were answerable to no one but themselves and the apathy of the population let them do that with impunity.
Corner shops and garages were either closed or now under one of Corpora's approved brands. There were some who managed to fly under the Corpora radar but if the security group found them, they were immediately shut down, jailed, and forced to work in a brand factory for the rest of their life, unpaid of course except for food and a cell to sleep in between shifts.
Every pen whether goods sales, taxes, fines, or anything else was for Corpora.
Apparently, they were looking for countries (markets) to milk for more income. The main problem is none of this money came back to the country. The infrastructure was rotting, railways did none run, roads were crumbling, street lights were out, hospitals closed and became derelict, and life expectancy was down to the late thirties.
And still, people accepted it, because "it was legal".
And so here I am in this cell.
My crime?
Wearing unbranded clothes, a black T-shirt, cheap jeans, socks, underpants, and some trainers, all unbranded.
Each day I was interrogated and beaten to find out who had sold me these items.
They didn't believe my answer.
The labels were not part of the fabric and had all dropped off my clothes in the washes or whatever, and I could not afford anything new. They did not believe me and each day it was the same procedure.
They took issue when I said the quality of the clothes was not very good because if it was the labels would not have dropped off. That got me a black eye and two broken teeth.
They told me that I won't be leaving there as my offense could not be excused, so I was just going to be here for these prison security guys to take out their frustrations on.
Barring a revolution (and that is unlikely as the army and all the weapons are owned by Corpora, literally) this will be it for me.
Corpora are running the country into the ground and having fun destroying people's lives while they do it and there is no hope at all.

This was very intriguing and scary at the same time! Well done!
Way too close to the truth of power, economics & politics. Well done, Mike.
Interesting sorry, is there some facts to this?
