"Time sure does fly by!" my grandmother said. "Soon you'll be as old as me!" She smiled, as I looked down at an old photo of myself at age 6, holding a bat playing tee-ball.
Turn the page. It's my 16 birthday party- go-karting!
Turn another; a wild college party.
My wedding day; a perfect day.
My son's graduation.... my grand-babies... The cabin.
I am now 100. Life's vividness faded; its breaths slow and long. Visions and dreams of what's next fill me. Will my last thought be of them... or a memory? I feel my grandmother with me.
Goodbye.
