A Gift From A Water Nymph To A Fairy Lover
It was night, and a bat flew overhead. The fairy came to the lake where her love, the water nymph, dwelt.
The water nymph saw her and said:
"I have always loved you ever since we met, and when we were together last, you left your halo. I have kept it safe for you, and now you can take it back"
"That was my gift to you, so you would never forget me"
"I could never forget you my love, if that is mine, I will give you a gift of a beautiful shell, so you will not forget me"
They laughed, hugged and kissed, the water dripping from their bodies as they felt each other's warmth.
Their real gift to each other was their time and love, and for them that would last forever.

The most precious thing we can give to someone is our time and love. Such a sweet story, like the ones my grandmother used to tell me when I was a child. There were always bats flying in the garden when she told me those, maybe that's what reminds me most.
