336 Time for Our Annual Christmas Newsletter
For Sunday, December 1, Day 336 of the 2024 Story-a-Day Challenge.

Well, how fast another year has passed! As we enter the Christmas month, it's time, once again, for everyone to "Catch up with the Punctilios!"
Mom Punctilio has been very busy this year defoliating the hedgerow while looking for her reputation. She blames those pesky neighbors of ours, of course, who never tire of reporting us to our town's Health Department because of all the adorable pigeons we sponsor. And why not? God's creatures deserve a home, don't they?
Our gifted daughter, Penny Punctilio, has been dating a cute boy, Dirk Bagg, from the other side of the tracks. She has had the worst luck with boyfriends, the previous ones dying so tragically, but this time it looks promising. We (and Dirk!) are very proud of her since she won "runner-up" in this year's Also-Ran Forensics Competition at Social Promotion High School (Go Spuds!). Let's just hope that next year she remembers the bleach!
Our talented son, Dick Punctilio, is enjoying his new job as night watchman at the Insatiable Inflatable Woman Factory. He comes home each morning exhausted but happy. I think there is room for advancement there, because he says he keeps getting raises.
We have had quite a laugh over the confusion that Dick's and my name—being the same—causes everyone who calls. When we ask if they're calling for big Dick or little Dick, the only funny thing is that we sound alike. Yet, they keep laughing each time like that never gets old. Go figure.
Our adorable twins, Prissy and Sissy Punctilio, are getting big—fast! They look forward to the annual opening of their gifts and closet. If they get much bigger, we'll have to keep them in the pantry, which they look forward to, considering the rat problem.
As for me—big Dick, the bread-winner—I'm happy to announce that I got a big promotion at work, in spite of the little row I had with the boss. He keeps insisting I go by "Richard," not "Dick." He doesn't feel a "Dick" CCO is inappropriate here at Prostrate Prostate Nutraceuticals, Inc.
Well, that's it for 2024. It's always fun to let our friends and relatives "Catch up with the Punctilios!" Till next year!
