Who Am I
Get to know the girl behind the recipes

As you try my recipes I hope my personality comes through. I’m an overly excited human, excited by all things related to life in general and overuse exclamation marks! I love food, everything about it, from taste, to smell, to how it shapes our bodies and health! I specialize in creating macro friendly recipes that give you all the flavors you love without the calories.
You will see a similar blurb on all of my recipes explaining my thoughts, because I want newcomers to know a little about why I do what I do. I am a true believer that the world of food should be open to a person and moderation in all things is a great way to live life, that’s why I specialize in creating macro-friendly recipes that are much easier to “fit” in moderation.
As you get to know me, you will find that all my recipes use a moderate to few amount of ingredients because I also believe that cooking should be stress free and not break the budget. I encourage that for all of my recipes you look into buying frozen rather than fresh to promote longevity of each food item if you do not use it again right away.
Who am I
Growing up I danced for years and had a lot of anxiety related to my body shape. I was always the biggest girl, with the most rolls in the class. As I became older I realized that if I didn’t eat I would get leaner...Starting an unhealthy relationship with food.
After I quit dance and began high school the opposite started, the binging and using food as comfort...I would sit down and eat row after row of sandwich cookies, then eat a king size candy bar and a box of Fiddle Faddle while watching my favorite romance movie. Coping skills at their finest.

Then phase three began after high school, I wanted to transform and strip everything about me from high school away. So back to eating 700 kcal per day and watching my body wither away as I do endless amounts of cardio. It wasn’t until I was sitting with my then boyfriend (Current fiance) sharing an ice cream sundae that I realized I had a problem. I checked into my Fitnesspal, inputting my half of the ice cream and began to cry because my total calories went over the 700 kcal goal I had set for myself. I was so disappointed, and upset that it ruined our whole night. (This is not normal behavior!)
Starting the phase four, the “I don’t care”, snowball of weight gain back up. But honestly, I feel that I needed this time, because this was a time of recovery. This led to a healthier relationship with food and I began lifting weights with my brother and dad. Seeing all the fantastic bodybuilding women on Instagram inspired me to reach out to my fabulous coaches and I’ve worked with them ever since. Yes, no one stays recovered without relapses, and I have binged, but I feel healthier and it’s more and more rare, to now it seems like a distant memory.

I love that there is no dichotomization of “good” vs “bad” foods, it’s all about working toward your goals, promoting moderation in all things and nourishing your body as well as your mind.
Thank you for reading! I hope that helps paint the picture of who keeps coming up with these recipes! I would love to hear your personal spin on any of my recipes! Have fun and please enjoy!
