Do you eat fruits?
Because we are still in the middle of winter, brrr, you probably need extra reasons to eat more fruit. Here are some that will convince you not to give up fruit even when it is freezing outside.
But before we start pointing out these reasons, I have some advice that I hope you will take into account: eat the fruit itself and do not consume a fruit-flavored drink.
Even if the ads encourage us to consume carbonated juices, chips, or other foods that contain fruit flavors. When was the last time you saw a melon commercial? What about plums, pears, peaches, apples, or even pineapple, pomegranate, orange?
Consumption of fruits is recommended by doctors because they have a lot of beneficial effects on the body.
Whether you want to lose weight, have brighter skin and hair more often, or you have problems with hypertension, the fruits will help you, solving a lot of health problems.
The rich content of minerals, vitamins, flavonoids, and antioxidants in fruits, makes them a valuable ally of your health.
When it is recommended to eat fruit
The best time of day to eat fruit is in the morning. Eating fruit on an empty stomach, immediately after drinking a glass of water, has beneficial effects on the body, giving it the energy it needs for a successful start to the day. Being a rich source of antioxidants, fruits help the body get rid of the harmful effect of free radicals on the body.
You can eat the fruit in the afternoon, but in the second part of the day the metabolism slows down, which means that the fruits, being rich in sugar, will increase blood sugar and cause the digestive system to activate. This means that the feeling of hunger will appear soon.
Also, the consumption of fruits is recommended between meals, as they are digested quickly. Fruits must be eaten on an empty stomach so that all nutrients, all-fiber and all simple sugars are easily processed and the body benefits from their full properties.
Nutritionists believe that fruit is the ideal snack between meals, being low in calories, but rich in minerals and valuable nutrients.
After eating fruit, make sure you wait at least 30 minutes before eating any other food. Thus, they will already be digested and there is no risk of starting the fermentation process in the stomach, a process that generates bloating, flatulence, and abdominal discomfort. In the case of people diagnosed with diabetes, things are a little different. Diabetics should eat fruit at least two hours after a meal and one hour before the next meal.
In terms of sports activities, it is recommended to eat fruit before a workout, as they give us a healthy dose of energy, which will support the effort during training. And after training, fruits are recommended to rebalance the body energetically. Banana and mango are the most suitable fruits before and after sports.
During weight loss, or if you want to lose weight without a cure, it is recommended to eat fruit before meals because the fruit and fruit water gives the feeling of satiety, which means that you will not be tempted to eat more than this is the case at the next meal.
The best time to eat fruit is in the evening, before bedtime. Any food eaten before bed will disturb sleep.
Make it a habit to eat fruits daily because they are extremely healthy, not just tasty. Ideally, you should eat only one fruit at a time, not combine them because this makes digestion difficult.
