BBQ Sauce
There really is nothing like the taste of food cooked over an open fire. Especially, if you use actual charcoal instead of propane. I find that charcoal gives a flavour profile that propane just doesn't. This is just my opinion, obviously. Try it and you will see. The only thing better than charcoal for cooking is wood. But a good barbeque sauce doesn't hurt. This is one of those recipes that I have made so often over the years that I can throw it together. I lost the original written recipe years ago and have not used measurements in years. But, I will try to estimate as much as I can for you.

Cloud Fritters
I like making what I call cloud fritters every once in a while. Since they are fried, I tend to only make these for special occasions or when I want to treat myself. The first time I made these I thought that they looked like a puffy little cloud and I guess the name just stuck. I can not even remember the original name. I usually make whip up a batch of these when I have veggies that need to be used up or leftover ham but any meat you have on hand could be used.

14 Day Pickles
Why would anyone buy pickles from the store? Especially when it is so easy to whip up a batch of freshly made pickles in your own house? And for so much cheaper, I might add. For the price you pay in the store, you could make more pickles than you could ever eat. I do not know about you but, I often have a ton of cucumbers from my garden. They are one of the easiest plants to grow. They need very little maintenance and grow quite quickly. I often have several harvests of cucumbers per season. Sometimes though, I have more than I know what to do with. I mean, way more than I could ever eat in salads or veggie sandwiches or smoothies. Also, I seem to have this intense hatred of wasting anything! So, I make pickles. That way I can enjoy the fruits from my garden well past their expiry date. It is stupidly easy to make your own pickles and, in only fourteen days, you too can have pickles.

Curried Eggs
I love a good curry. But to be honest, I had never tried curried eggs and was a bit put off by the thought as until that point I had eaten eggs as a breakfast food and as devilled eggs but was not sure at all how curried eggs would taste. My partner just loves curried eggs. I found out only recently how enthusiastic they are about them. We were ordering in some curry from our favourite local Indian restaurant. We ended up ordering something else but I was determined to find a recipe and make it on my own to see if I even liked it. It didn't sound very appetising to me. But the way they described the dish to me later made me wonder what I was missing out on. So I went online and found a recipe that seemed fairly easy to follow and it turned out to be pretty amazing.

Crispy Fish Sandwich: The Ultimate Comfort Food
So, I'm about to let out a TMI, You ready for it? 3,2,1… It's that time of the month… UGHHH! I'm sitting here at my work desk, feeling my body change, writing an article, and working on getting 11,000 people employed through my employment agency then I saw my dad come home with food. I don't know what on earth I was expecting but I know for a fact I was not expecting what he gave me… A fish sandwich.
