Gag-Worthy Retro Foods People Actually Ate
Doctors and statisticians can both agree that people used to be a lot skinnier back in the 1950s. Despite the thinner waistlines, most of the recipes that you'll read involved gross quantities of foods we know are fattening today.

Here Are Seven Things You Might Not Know About Coffee
For many of us, it's how we begin every day. There are those among us who would sooner give up a pint of blood than suffer a single day's absence of their caffeinated paramour. It has almost limitless regional variations as far as preparation and ways to enjoy it. Its exports account for more than half the foreign exchange of some countries. Coffee is a multifaceted thing, equal parts drinkable satisfaction, constantly-evolving art medium, and big business. Let's take a look at this beverage with which the world's love affair has endured for centuries and shows no sign of cooling anytime soon.

Easy Lunches That Satisfy
Lunch might just be one of the most difficult meals of the day. Satisfying dinners are easy to whip up, as are built-up breakfasts. It's possible to get a stick-to-your-ribs dinner or lunch that also doesn't pack a powerful punch in the diet department.

Restaurant Chains Ruined by Over Expansion
Everyone you've ever met knows what a Starbucks looks like, or what a McDonald's looks like. These fast food restaurant chains are infamous for being in almost every town - and in some cases, on almost every corner. They are ubiquitous, and they are so well known throughout the world that they often become synonymous with America, fast food, or a certain portion of the population.

Up and Coming Restaurant Chains Worth a Try
Whether we want to admit it or not, we all have that one chain of restaurants that we like. Whether it's Red Lobster, Applebee's, or TGI Friday's, it's a chain that we always can feel at home at. It's predictable. We know what we're getting when we go there, and we know what to expect.

My Favourite Japanese Restaurants In London
Bone Daddies After their first outlet in Soho was such a huge success, there’s now a couple more of these Japanese/Korean fusion ramen joints across town. Cool, noisy, busy, and great ramen. Their soft-shell crab is one of the best in town; their salmon sashimi irresistible; and I always order their “T22” ramen which comes with “cock scratchings” (true story).

Delicious Meals That Can Kill You
For many of us, we are what we eat, but what many of us don't realize is that these delicious meals may not be exactly what they appear to be on the surface. Sure, they may make us smile and moan in pleasure, but, when you get right down to it... they can kill you. Not just kill you, but kill you in awful ways.

Where to Find the Best Burgers In London
Burger & Lobster This is a simple concept, but they're executing it well. Primarily a celebration of lobster, but they do burgers as well. It’s good, but if you're just going to order a burger then this is an expensive place to get your burger fix. Service is friendly and professional, and the food is on your table pretty quickly – this isn't the kind of place where they want you to hang around. There's something about Burger & Lobster that feels innately uncool. I can't quite put my finger about it, but there's a sense that you're somehow being taken advantage of by accepting that a restaurant like this is actually a thing. Outlets around the world, including ten in London.

Kitchen Hacks for Beginners
Cooking isn't easy, and if you don't believe it, look at how many Pinterest memes have been made based on botched recipes. What makes it worse for many would-be Gordon Ramsays is that the most complex recipes all seem to taste the best.

Where Do You Find the Best Pizza In London?
Franco Manca Franco Manca is a chain of pizza restaurants in London – at last count they had at least 25 outlets. This is quality pizza, using fresh ingredients, and served up at an affordable price. I often succumb to their Bermondsey Street branch — a bright, modern space; friendly and efficient staff; and top-drawer pizza. One of the strengths of this place is that it keeps everything fairly simple. There’s six pizzas to choose from on the menu, plus a couple of specials on the board. You can choose to add extras, such as anchovies (always!). They also make a mean chilli oil — I can’t seem to eat pizza anymore without drizzling a bit of chilli oil over everything. This is quality pizza and reasonably priced.
