These features are found in all these devices, but for better information, it is preferable to read the technical details on each of them. As you can see, some of them also come with an odor filter, a quick cooling system, and some special compartments for greens, vegetables, or fruits.

If you store them in these compartments, the salad will stay fresh and crispy, and the vegetables and fruits will remain as tasty as the day they were picked.

Not all foods are stored in the refrigerator. You may be surprised to learn that tomatoes, for example, need to be kept on the counter at room temperature, otherwise they lose their sweet taste and remain bland.

Food should not be placed in the refrigerator at random, because the temperature is not the same everywhere. Only fruits and vegetables are stored in the lower drawers, preferably separated from each other. These drawers are usually specially designed to keep these foods fresh.

Drinks, sauces (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard), vegetables in vinegar or brine are stored on the refrigerator door. The refrigerator door is often opened, so food that is well resistant to temperature fluctuations should be stored here.

On the top shelf of the refrigerator is placed the cooked food, the salads ready to be eaten later, the greens (salad, parsley, larch, dill, etc.). Below are the eggs, cheeses, and meat to be cooked.

Fruits and vegetables that retain their vitamins when frozen

Fruits and vegetables do not lose their nutrients when frozen. Of course, some of them should not be frozen - cabbage, onions, garlic, apples, pears, etc. Instead, peas, green beans, spinach, carrots, broccoli, peppers, and donuts keep their vitamins intact. So are berries (blueberries, raspberries), cherries, peaches, apricots.

The secret is to put them in the freezer as soon as possible after picking them, and in the case of vegetables, keep in mind that a single scald is enough. Don't forget to wash them well and clean them first. Store food in the freezer in small portions so that you can use the whole portion at once.
